Such projects will allow the middle-class citizens to realise their dream of owning a house, said Shinde, who is also Guardian Minister of Thane.
"Developers can very well build big flats and grow their business. But at the same time they should also provide housing for the middle-class people," he said.
The Minister was speaking after inaugurating the 14th Real Estate and Housing Financial Expo-2015 here.
Stating that he has seen the rapid growth of the city in the last few years, Shinde said developers would definitely get help from the Government in the interest of citizens.
TDR means making available certain amount of additional built up area in lieu of the area relinquished or surrendered by the land owner.
There are more than 100 builders who have exhibited their properties at the expo which will conclude on January 19. For the first time Thane unit of the Anti-Corruption Bureau has put up a stall in the exhibition.
