Suspected armed Maoists arrived at village Ghasidag under Bisrampur police station area in Palamau district in the early hours and dragged the sympathiser of TPC, Guddu Singh from his house before shooting him dead, Deputy Superintendent of Police Hiralal Ravi today said.
The killers pumped in three bullets, killing Singh on the spot, he said.
In another extremist-related incident, the district police force of West Singhbhum and Khunti today recovered a powerful cylinder bomb planted by Moaists on the border of West Singhbhum-Murhu (Khunti distirct), Superintendent of Police, Michael Raj S said.
Purty, a cousin of hardcore PLFI ultra Dadu, was apparently waiting for some members of the outfit for an attack when he was arrested, the officer said.
Based on his information during interrogation, the police recovered a 10 kg cylinder bomb planted in village Urkil on NH 75 near Chakradharpur bordering Murhu of Khunti district.
