BJP spokesperson Tarun Vijay said the recommendations made in the report should not be implemented as it would compromise national sovereignty.
"The report by the interlocutors led by Dileep Padgaonkar submitted to the Centre is completely unacceptable and should be rejected," Vijay said at a press conference in the party office here.
"Suggestions in the report are not in the interest of the nation and supports the demands of anti-national elements," he claimed.
Vijay said the government should make public around 500 memorandums submitted to the interlocutors by various Muslim groups. "The government should made clear whether those groups are demanding separatism."
He also slammed the interlocutors for not making any mention of the displaced Hindus of Kashmir in their report.
About the meeting of Pakistan Foreign Secretary Jalil Abbas Jilani with Hurriyat leaders during his recent visit to the country, he said, "it is very unfortunate that Foreign Secretary of Pakistan held meeting with separatist leaders ahead of the bilateral talks with India in New Delhi".
