Recording of evidence in Jaya case to continue on March 25

The Special Court here trying the disproportionate asset case against Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa today adjourned to March 25 further recording of evidence of defence witnesses and their cross-examination.
No evidence of defence witnesses was recorded as none of them turned up.
However, the court cross-examined two defence witnesses whose evidence had been recorded earlier.
Judge M S Balakrishna then adjourned the matter to Monday.
The Special Court here was constituted for trying the disproportionate asset case in which Jayalalithaa is facing charges that she accumulated wealth of Rs 66.65 crore disproportionate to her known sources of income when she was chief minister for the first time from 1991 to 1996.
