The nine timer-fitted bombs, recovered and defused here on Monday, had three pipe elbows each to allow attaching two more bombs to make a powerful blast when detonated, .

Successfully following a lead that led to the recovery of the bombs similar to those used in the October 27 Patna serial blasts, Jharkhand police averted a Patna-like disaster recovering nineteen detonators and 25 gelatin sticks, besides the nine bombs in a lodge at Hindpiri here yesterday.

"There were total of nine timer-fitted live bombs with each having links to connect two more bombs. All the bombs were defused," Senior Superintendent of Police Saket Kumar Singh told PTI here today.

Stating that there was no arrest as yet, the police Superintendent said a couple of persons were questioned and let off last night.
