The raid was conducted by a police team led by Sub Inspector M Prasanth Kumar, based on a tip-off that the logs weighing 3,740 kg had been piled up at the cattle shed at the village that falls under Jami mandal.
"The seized red sanders worth approximately Rs 50 lakh was handed over to the Forest department officials for further action," Prasanth told PTI.
The shed belongs to a farmer identified as Y Ramachandradu, who was absconding, he said.
