In futures, castorseeds fell amid speculative selling following poor export enquiries.
In the edible section, refined palmolein softened by Rs 2 per 10 kg to Rs 610 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 612. Groundnutoil closed unchanged at Rs 1,250 per 10 kg.
Moving to non-edible segment, Castorseeds bold went down by Rs 10 per 100 kg to Rs 3,915 from Rs 3,925 previously. Castoroil commercial edged down by Rs 2 per 10 kg to Rs 813 from Rs 815. Linseed oil closed unaltered at Rs 840 per 10 kg.
Moving to futures, castorseed September contract resumed higher at Rs 4,270, but later drifted lower to close at Rs 4,160 as against Rs 4,260 yesterday, showing a loss of Rs 100 per tonne.
