On contrast, groundnut oil declined due to subdued offtake from stockists and retailers amidst ample supply positions.
In non-edible segment, linseed oil climbed on renewed demand from paint and allied industries.
Meanwhile, Castorseed bold and castoroil commercial also fell owing to reduced demand from shippers and soap industries.
In futures, castorseeds prices slipped on selling pressure following subdued export enquiries.
In the edible segment, refined palmolein edged up by Rs 2 per 10 kg to Rs 622 from Monday's closing level of Rs 620. However, groundnut oil dropped by Rs 5 per 10 kg at Rs 1,185 from Rs 1,190.
Turning to non-edible segment, Linseed oil went up Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 745 as against Rs 740 previously. While, castorseeds bold slipped by Rs 50 per 100 kg to Rs 3,250 from Rs 3,300 and castoroil commercial slid by Rs 10 per 10 kg to Rs 680 from Rs 690 yesterday.
In futures, castorseeds for the September contract opened slightly higher at Rs 3,510, but late drifted to Rs 3,466 before ending at Rs 3,475 as against Rs 3,531 yesterday, showing a loss of Rs 56 per tonne.
