Refined palmolein prices falls on subdued demand

Meanwhile, groundnutoil and linseedoil prices ruled stable in the absence of any important buying activity.

In the non-edible section, castorseeds bold and castor oil commercial moved up on good offtake from shippers and soap manufacturers.

In futures, castorseeds gained on steady demand amid rising export enquiries.

In the edible section, refined palmolein declined by Rs 7 per 10 kg to Rs 493 from Friday's closing level of Rs 500. Groundnut oil closed unchanged at Rs 1,260 per 10 kg.

Turning to non-edible segment, Castorseeds bold advanced by Rs 25 per 100 kg to Rs 3,475 from Rs 3,450 and castoroil commercial climbed by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 725 from Rs 720. Linseedoil closed almost flat at Rs 820 per 10 kg.

Moving to futures, castorseed December contract resumed lower at Rs 3,550 and later moved up to Rs 3,590 before finishing at Rs 3,575 as against Rs 3,560 yesterday, showing a net gain of Rs 15 per tonne.
