Refined palmolein recovers on renewed demand

Linseed oil also moved up due to fresh demand from paints and allied industries.

Meanwhile, groundnut oil, castorseeds bold and castor oil commerical prices held stable in the absence of any worthwhile buying.

In futures trade, castorseeds eased on moderate selling following reduced export enquiries.

In the edible-segment, Refined palmolein surge by Rs 6 per 10 kg to Rs 618 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 612. However, groundnut oil closed unchanged at Rs 1,190 per 10 kg.

Turning to non-edible section, Linseed oil climbed by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 740 from 735 previously. Castorseed bold and castor oil commercial both held unaltered at Rs 3,275 per 100 kg and Rs 685 per 10 kg respectively.

Moving to futures, castorseeds for the September contract opened slightly lower at Rs 3,503 later, moved up to Rs 3,529 before finishing at Rs 3,474, as compared to Rs 3,506 previously, showing a loss of Rs 32 per tonne.
