In futures, castorseeds also dropped on heavy speculative selling following lower export enquiries.
In the edible segment, Refined palmolein gained by Rs 3 per 10 kg to Rs 607 from overnight close of Rs 604. Groundnut oil were unaltered at Rs 1,220 per 10 kg.
Moving to non-edible segment, castorseeds bold declined by Rs 50 per 100 kg to Rs 3,900 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 3,950 and castoroil commercial moved down by Rs 10 per 10 kg to Rs 810 from Rs 820 previously. Linseed oil ended steady at Rs 830 per 10 kg.
Turning to futures, castorseeds for the September contract opened lower at Rs 4,370, but later rose to Rs 4,390 before drifting to finish at Rs 4,280 as against Rs 4,385 previously, showing a fall of Rs 105 per tonne.
