Refined soya futures slide 0.38% on profit booking
Press Trust of India New Delhi Refined soya oil prices fell 0.38 per cent to Rs 602.40 per 10 kg in futures trading today as traders booked profits at prevailing levels, driven by a decline in demand in the spot market against adequate stocks.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in December month eased by Rs 2.30, or 0.38 per cent to Rs 602.40 per 10 kg with an open interest of 1,20,495 lots.
Likewise, the oil for delivery in November contracts traded lower by Rs 2.20, or 0.37 per cent to Rs 593.70 per 10 kg in 5,025 lots.
Market analysts attributed fall in refined soya oil futures to profit-booking by participants at existing levels amid easing demand in the spot market against adequate stocks position on higher supplies from growing regions.
