Refined soya oil prices drifted lower by 0.14 per cent to Rs 772.65 per 10 kg in futures market today as speculators booked profits, driven by a fall in demand at the spot market.
Besides, adequate stocks position on increased arrivals from growing regions, fuelled the downtrend.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in June fell by Rs 1.10, or 0.14 per cent to Rs 772.65 per 10 kg with an open interest of 62,100 lots.
Likewise, the oil for delivery in July was trading lower by 80 paise, or 0.10 per cent to Rs 781.55 per 10 kg in 22,880 lots.
Analysts said besides profit-booking by participants, easing demand in the physical market against sufficient stocks position, weighed on refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
