Refined soya oil prices fell by 0.39 per cent to Rs 617.90 per 10 kg in futures trading today as participants trimmed positions, tracking a weak trend at spot market on subdued demand.
Besides, adequate stocks on higher supplies from producing regions fuelled the downtrend.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in March declined by Rs 2.40, or 0.39 per cent, to Rs 617.90 per 10 kg, with an open interest of 47,720 lots.
On similar lines, the oil for delivery in April shed Rs 1.60, or 0.26 per cent, to Rs 618.70 per 10 kg in 74,620 lots.
Analysts attributed the fall in refined soya oil futures to easing demand in the spot market against adequate stocks on higher supplies from producing belts.
