Refined soya oil futures down 0.45% on muted demand
Press Trust of India New Delhi Refined soya oil were down by 0.45 per cent to Rs 648.60 per 10 kg in futures trading in evening session today as traders reduced exposure, driven by subdued demand in the spot market against adequate stocks position.
The exchange opened for the evening session as it remained closed in the morning for 'Bakri ID '.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in far-month October fell by Rs 2.95, or 0.45 per cent to Rs 648.60 per 10 kg with an open interest of 59,050 lots.
Similarly, the oil for delivery in September contracts traded lower by Rs 2.05, or 0.32 per cent to Rs 643.95 per 10 kg in 15,870 lots.
Analysts said trimming of positions by participants on the back of sluggish demand in the spot market against ample stocks position, mainly led to decline in refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
