Refined soya oil futures down 0.64 pc on profit-booking

Refined soya oil prices were down by 0.64 per cent to Rs 588.45 per 10 kg in futures trade today amid bouts of profit-booking.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in December declined by Rs 3.80, or 0.64 per cent to Rs 588.45 per 10 kg with an open interest of 87,995 lots.
Likewise, the oil for delivery this month shed Rs 2.85, or 0.49 per cent to Rs 583.40 per 10 kg in 39,610 lots.
The exchange opened for the evening session as it remained closed in the morning for 'Guru Nanak Jayanti'.

Market analysts said off-loading of positions and profit-booking at prevailing levels, mainly kept pressure on refined soya oil prices in futures trade.
