Refined soya oil futures down by 0.52 pc on profit-booking

Refined soya oil prices were up by 0.52 per cent to Rs 559.50 per 10 kg in futures trade today as speculators booked profits at prevailing levels due to fall in demand in the spot markets.
At National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in June month declined by Rs 2.95, or 0.52 per cent to Rs 559.50 per 10 kg with an open interest of 1,18,495 lots.
Similarly, the oil for delivery in April contracts moved down by Rs 2.60, or 0.44 per cent to Rs 586.40 per 10 kg in 66,835 lots.
Market analysts attributed the fall in refined soya oil futures to profit-booking by speculators at existing levels, fall in demand in the spot market against adequate stocks position.
