Refined soya oil futures edge up by 0.20% on spot demand

Refined soya oil prices went up by 0.20 per cent to Rs 582.70 per 10 kg in futures trading today as speculators indulged in creating fresh positions, tracking a firm trend at spot market following rise in demand.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in August traded higher by Rs 1.15, or 0.20 per cent to Rs 582.70 per 10 kg with an open interest of 2,39,550 lots.
Similarly, the oil for delivery in June edged up by 80 paise, or 0.13 per cent to Rs 610.80 per 10 kg in 8,025 lots.
Market analysts said speculators built up fresh positions on the back of pick up in demand in the spot market against supplies from growing regions, mainly influenced refined soya oil prices in futures trade.
