At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in February rose by Rs 1.05, or 0.15 per cent to Rs 707.20 per 10 kg with an open interest of 17,560 lots.
Likewise, the oil for delivery in March traded higher by a similar margin to Rs 695.30 per 10 kg in 47,330 lots.
Analysts said, widening of positions by participants on the back of strong demand in the spot market against tight stock position on fall in supplies from producing belts, mainly kept refined soya oil prices higher at futures trade.
