Refined soya oil futures fall 0.37% on profit-booking
Press Trust of India New Delhi Refined soya oil prices declined by 0.37 per cent to Rs 553.70 per 10 kg in futures trade today as speculators booked profits at prevailing levels.
In addition, adequate stocks position in the physical market on higher supplies from producing belts, led to the decline.
At National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in June fell by Rs 2.05, or 0.37 per cent, to Rs 553.70 per 10 kg with an open interest of 1,23,590 lots.
Similarly, the oil for delivery in April shed Rs 1.40, or 0.24 per cent, to Rs 575.20 per 10 kg in 76,515 lots.
Market analysts attributed the fall in refined soya oil futures to profit-booking by speculators at existing levels apart from fall in demand in the spot market against adequate stocks position.
