Refined soya oil prices eased by 0.48 per cent to Rs 617.50 per 10 kg in futures trade today as participants reduced exposure amid sluggish demand in the spot market against adequate stocks.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in far-month January 2016 fell by Rs 3, or 0.48 per cent, to Rs 617.50 per 10 kg, with an open interest of 1,04,640 lots.
Similarly, the oil for delivery in December traded lower by 60 paise, or 0.09 per cent, to Rs 634.60 per 10 kg in 4,105 lots.
Market analysts attributed the fall in refined soya oil futures to decline in demand in the spot market against adequate stocks on higher supplies from producing belts.
