Refined soya oil prices moved down by 0.72 per cent to Rs 665.20 per 10 kg in futures trade today as participants reduced their exposure amid tepid demand in the spot market against adequate stocks.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in November fell by Rs 4.80, or 0.72 per cent to Rs 665.20 per 10 kg with an open interest of 20,300 lots.
Likewise, the oil for delivery in December traded lower by Rs 2.85, or 0.42 per cent to Rs 671.70 per 10 kg in 59,270 lots.
Analysts said offloading of positions by traders due to slackened demand in the spot market against adequate stocks position mainly led to the decline in refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
