Refined soya oil futures fall 0.73% on low demand

Refined soya oil prices declined by 0.73 per cent to Rs 657.05 per 10 kg in futures trading today as participants cut their bets, taking negative cues from spot market on subdued demand.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in far-month May drifted by Rs 4.85, or 0.73 per cent to Rs 657.05 per 10 kg with an open interest of 82,330 lots.
In a likewise manner, the oil for delivery in April moved down by Rs 3.25, or 0.50 per cent to Rs 648.85 per 10 kg in 5,170 lots.
Analysts said offloading of positions by traders, driven by easing demand in the spot market against adequate stocks position on higher supplies from producing regions mainly led to the fall in refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
