Refined soya oil futures traded higher by 0.19 per cent to Rs 675.60 per 10 kg today as participants built up fresh positions after upsurge in demand in the spot market against tight supplies.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in December was up by Rs 1.30, or 0.19 per cent to Rs 675.60 per 10 kg with an open interest of 58,570 lots.
Similarly, the oil for delivery in November edged up by Rs 1.10, or 0.17 per cent to Rs 667.10 per 10 kg in 56,160 lots.
Analysts said fresh positions created by traders largely on the back of pick-up in demand in the spot market against tight stocks position on restricted supplies from producing regions mainly influenced refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
