Amid pick up in domestic demand against restricted supplies from producing regions, refined soya oil prices edged up by 0.26 per cent to Rs 637.80 per 10 kg in futures trade today.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery for April rose by Rs 1.65 or 0.26 per cent to Rs 637.80 per 10 kg for 41,330 lots.
The oil for delivery in May also traded higher by Rs 1.55, or 0.25 per cent to Rs 626.30 per 10 kg in 56,650 lots.
Analysts said fresh positions built up by traders following pick up in demand in the spot market against fall in supplies from producing belts, mainly attributed the rise in refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
