Besides, restricted arrivals from producing belts influenced the prices.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in April edged up by Rs 2.50, or 0.41 per cent, to Rs 608.40 per 10 kg with an open interest of 36,815 lots.
Likewise, the oil for delivery in June traded higher by Rs 1.80, or 0.31 per cent, to Rs 576.10 per 10 kg in 1,15,265 lots.
Marketmen said besides pick-up in demand in spot market, restricted arrivals from producing centres mainly led to the rise in refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
