Refined soya oil prices were up by 0.51 per cent at Rs 622.30 per 10 kg in futures trade today as speculators enlarged their bets, driven by pick up in demand at the spot market.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in far-month December was trading higher by Rs 3.15, or 0.51 per cent, to Rs 622.30 per 10 kg with an open interest of 1,33,845 lots.
Similarly, the oil for delivery in November contracts traded higher by 65 paise, or 0.10 per cent, to Rs 627.35 per 10 kg in 50,260 lots.
Market analysts attributed the rise in refined soya oil futures to pick up in demand in the spot market against restricted supplies from producing regions.
