Besides, restricted supplies from producing belts influenced prices.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in October rose Rs 3.50, or 0.62 per cent to Rs 563.75 per 10 kg with an open interest of 90,340 lots.
Likewise, the oil for delivery in August contracts traded higher by Rs 2.95, or 0.51 per cent to Rs 578.75 per 10 kg in 1,19,375 lots.
Market analysts said besides rising demand at the spot market, restricted supplies from producing belts led to rise in refined soya oil prices in futures trade.
