Supported by pickup in domestic demand and restricted supplies from producing regions, refined soya oil prices traded higher 0.57 per cent to Rs 562 per 10 kg in futures trade today as speculators widened positions.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in October moved up Rs 3.20, or 0.57 per cent to Rs 562 per 10 kg with an open interest of 92,780 lots.
Likewise, the oil for delivery in August contracts edged up by Rs 2.35, or 0.41 per cent to Rs 576.30 per 10 kg in 1,72,285 lots.
Market analysts said besides pickup in demand at the spot market, restricted supplies from producing belts led to gain in refined soya oil prices in futures trade.
