Refined soya oil futures remain up, add 0.31% on rising demand

Refined soya oil prices advanced by 0.31 per cent to Rs 753 per 10 kg in futures trade today as speculators engaged in enlarging their positions, tracking a firm trend at spot market on strong demand.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, refined soya oil for January 2018 advanced by Rs 2.30, or 0.31 per cent to Rs 753 per 10 kg with an open interest of 38,750 lots.
On similar lines, the oil for delivery in December edged up by Rs 2.10, or 0.29 per cent to Rs 734 per 10 kg in 29,840 lots.
Analysts said widening of positions by traders on the back of rising demand in the physical market against tight stocks position on restricted arrivals from growing regions, mainly refined oil prices higher at futures trade.
