Refined soya oil futures remained weak for the second straight day and prices dropped 0.30 per cent to Rs 591.20 per 10 kg today due to sluggish demand in spot markets.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in December declined by Rs 1.75, or 0.30 per cent to Rs 591.20 per 10 kg with an open interest of 75,260 lots.
On similar lines, the oil for delivery in January traded lower by Rs 1.55, or 0.26 per cent to Rs 601.40 per 10 kg in 60,550 lots.
Analysts said offloading of positions by traders, tracking a weak trend at spot market on subdued demand mainly influenced refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
