Refined soya oil prices were trading higher by 0.14 per cent to Rs 661.20 per 10 kg in futures market today as participants built up fresh positions amid uptick in demand at domestic spot market against restricted supplies from producing belts.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in October edged up by 90 paise, or 0.14 per cent, to Rs 661.20 per 10 kg with an open interest of 29,160 lots.
Likewise, the oil for delivery in November traded higher by a similar margin to Rs 664.10 per 10 kg in 48,010 lots.
Analysts said, fresh positions created by traders on pick-up in demand in the physical market against restricted supplies from growing regions, mainly attributed the rise in refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
