Refined soya oil prices went up by 0.39 per cent to Rs 725.20 per 10 kg in futures trade as traders built up fresh positions owing to rise in demand in the spot market.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in December rose by Rs 2.85, or 0.39 per cent to Rs 725.20 per 10 kg with an open interest of 37,900 lots.
On similar lines, the oil for delivery in January was trading higher by 65 paise, or 0.09 per cent, to Rs 728.30 per 10 kg in 51,560 lots.
Marketmen said fresh positions built-up by participants after demand picked up in the spot market against restricted supplies from producing regions mainly influenced refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
