Refined soya oil prices rose 0.2 per cent to Rs 769 per 10 kg in futures trade on Wednesday as speculators created fresh positions.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil contracts for November delivery went up by Rs 1.5, or 0.2 per cent, to Rs 769 per 10 kg with an open interest of 30,880 lots.
Similarly, the contracts for December delivery traded higher by Rs 1.25, or 0.16 per cent, at Rs 772.7 per 10 kg with an open interest of 16,560 lots.
Analysts said fresh positions built up by traders against restricted arrivals from growing regions mainly led to the rise in refined soya oil prices.
