Refined soya oil prices declined by 0.51 per cent to Rs 634.75 per 10 kg in futures trading today as participants cut their bets, driven by easing demand in the spot market.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in April month fell by Rs 3.25, or 0.51 per cent to Rs 634.75 per 10 kg with an open interest of 26,650 lots.
Likewise, the oil for delivery in May contracts shed 85 paise, or 0.13 per cent to Rs 642.80 per 10 kg in 72,770 lots.
Analysts said offloading of positions by traders due to fall in demand in the spot market against sufficient stocks mainly led to the decline in refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
