Refined soya oil prices fell by 0.47 per cent to Rs 778.80 per 10 kg in futures market today as speculators trimmed positions, triggered by adequate stocks positions at spot market against lower demand.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in April drifted lower by Rs 3.65, or 0.47 per cent, to Rs 778.80 per 10 kg with an open interest of 62,300 lots.
Similarly, the oil for delivery in March contracts was trading lower by Rs 3.40, or 0.44 per cent, to Rs 769.10 per 10 kg in 12,690 lots.
Analysts said cutting down of positions by participants, driven by sufficient stocks on increased arrivals from producing regions in the physical market against subdued demand attributed to the fall in refined soya oil prices in futures trade.
