Refined soya oil prices declined by 0.51 per cent to Rs 662.60 per 10 kg in futures trade today as speculators booked profits at prevailing levels amidst subdued demand in the spot market.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in August traded lower by Rs 3.40, or 0.51 per cent to Rs 662.60 per 10 kg with an open interest of 19,600 lots.
In a similar fashion, the oil for delivery in September shed Rs 3, or 0.46 per cent to Rs 654.60 per 10 kg in 1,15,475 lots.
Analysts said besides profit-booking by speculators, sluggish demand in the spot market against adequate stocks position mainly led to the fall in refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
