Refined soya oil prices edged up by 0.31 per cent to Rs 679.10 per 10 kg in futures trading today as speculators built up fresh positions after uptick in demand in the spot market.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in November rose by Rs 2.10, or 0.31 per cent to Rs 679.10 per 10 kg with an open interest of 28,160 lots.
Likewise, the oil for delivery in October edged higher by 80 paise, or 0.12 per cent to Rs 677.70 per 10 kg in 47,000 lots.
Analysts said fresh positions created by traders traders owing to strong demand in the spot market mainly attributed the rise in refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
