Refined soya oil prices were up by 0.60 per cent to Rs 672.70 per 10 kg in futures trading today as speculators widening their positions, tracking a firm trend at spot market on pick up in demand.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in October rose by Rs 4, or 0.60 per cent to Rs 672.70 per 10 kg with an open interest of 37,180 lots.
Similarly, the oil for delivery in September contracts gained Rs 2.70, or 0.41 per cent to Rs 663.10 per 10 kg in 51,420 lots.
Analysts said expanding of positions by traders amid uptick in demand in the spot market against restricted arrivals from producing regions, mainly led to rise in refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
