Refined soya oil futures up as demand picks up

Supported by pick-up in domestic demand and restricted supplies from producing regions, refined soya oil prices rose 0.28 per cent to Rs 628.90 per 10 kg in futures trade today as traders built up fresh positions.
In futures trading at National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in November edged up by Rs 1.75, or 0.28 per cent to Rs 628.90 per 10 kg with an open interest of 40,155 lots.
Similarly, the oil for delivery in November inched up by 90 paise, or 0.14 per cent to Rs 624.90 per 10 kg in 1,38,400 lots.
Analysts attributed the rise in refined soya oil futures to improved demand at the spot market against restricted supplies from producing regions.
