Refined soya oil prices rise 0.25% on uptick in demand

Refined soya oil prices rose 0.25 per cent to Rs 736.40 per 10 kg in futures market today as speculators created fresh bets, taking positive cues from spot market on uptick in demand.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in February edged up by Rs 1.80, or 0.25 per cent, to Rs 736.40 per 10 kg with an open interest of 11,140 lots.
Similarly, the oil for delivery in March contracts traded higher by Rs 1.20, or 0.16 per cent, at Rs 739.50 per 10 kg in 38,860 lots.
Analysts said fresh positions built up by traders following pick up in demand in the physical market against tight stocks position on fall in supplies from producing belts influenced refined soya oil prices in futures trade.
