Reform measures of Modi govt have been welcomed: Naik

Addressing students of Indian Institute of Management here, the executive chairman of Larsen & Toubro A M Naik today praised the initiatives taken by the Narendra Modi government to boost the economy.
"Prime Minister Narendra Modi's biggest impact has been in the foreign policy. He has revitalised relations with almost all major countries, especially with neighbours. Recent initiatives in mining sector, land acquisition, deregulating diesel, FDI in selected sectors, Direct Benefit Transfer and Make in India campaign have been widely welcomed," he said.
Naik, who is chairman of board of governors at IIM, Ahmedabad, was speaking at its 50th convocation.
"India is possibly the biggest opportunity today. When I say opportunity, I mean from the long-term perspective of a business investment or a career-building opportunity. The world has set its sights on India and India is setting its sights on 9 to 10 per cent GDP growth," he said.
