"We were displaced from our houses and forced to take shelter in Jammu 70 years ago. It is unfortunate that our plight failed to move the world organisations, the Centre and state governments," Chairman of SOS International Rajiv Chuni said.
Three generations of people displaced from PoK were faced with "poverty, discrimination and apathy" and forced to live in 39 "filthy camps", Chuni said.
Chuni accused the BJP of ignoring their plight and said Kashmiri pandit migrants get monthly cash relief, free accommodation and ration, reservation in government jobs and in technical and professional colleges across the country and several other benefits but displaced people of PoK are not given any such facility.
He criticised the National Conference president Farooq Abdullah's statement that said "PoK belongs to Pakistan".
Chuni said his organisation would fight for the rights of the displaced people, adding "we will teach them a lesson in the upcoming polls.
