Senior officials in the Revenue Department said property registration as well as other transactions like registration of will and rent agreement have also come down as there has been "confusion" among the officials and general public about the advisory.
The issue figured at a cabinet meeting, presided over by Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit, which favoured educating people about the whole issue, besides simplifying procedures for registration of properties.
The Cabinet also favoured introducing online registration of properties so that people do not face any inconvenience. Officials said Revenue department has been told to examine the matter.
In a bid to ensure strict adherence to the Supreme Court order on property transactions, Delhi government last week said no sale deed will be registered if it is done through General Power of Attorney (GPA).
Restrictions were put on GPA as a mode of property transfer following the apex court order.
However, such transactions had been taking place despite the apex court order prompting the government to issue an advisory on April 27 asking all the officials concerned to strictly comply with the order.

Following the advisory, registration of properties have come down at the sub-registrar offices.
The Supreme Court had on October 12 last year ruled that sale transactions carried in the name of GPA will have no legal sanctity and immovable property can be sold or transferred only through registered deeds.
