Rehman's tally included a hat-trick in a three-minute burst that knocked the stuffing out of Mumbai's rivals and enabled the hosts to score their second back-to-back comprehensive victory after a smashing 18-1 win over Goa in their opening game.

Mumbai combined well as a unit and did not encounter much resistance from their opponents. Like in their previous match, Mumbai once against maintained a sustained attack on the rival citadel and found the target at regular intervals.

The others who contributed towards Mumbai win were Laxman Rao, Jayesh Jadhav, Victo Singh and Irshad Mirza, all scoring two goals each and Davinder Walmiki (1).

Rajendra Yadav scored both the goals for the losing side.

Later, Gujarat got the better of Goa by a 2-1 margin. Dhaval Mohite and Upen Parmar were on target for Gujarat, while Goa captain Dattesh Priolkar reduced the margin.

Results: Mumbai 14 (Osaf ur Rehman 5, Laxman Rao 2, Jayesh Jadhav 2, Victo Singh 2, Irshad Mirza 2, Davinder Walmiki) beat Dadra and Nagar Haveli 2 (Rajendra Yadav).

Gujarat 2 (Dhaval Mohite, Upen Parmar) beat Goa 1 (Dattesh Priolkar).
