Reliance Retail, the Reliance Industries' retail arm, today reported an over three-fold jump in pre-tax profit at Rs 1,086 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2018.
The company had reported a PBDIT (profit before depreciation and income tax) of Rs 352 crore in the same period last fiscal.
Reliance Retail's revenue in the quarter under review more than doubled to Rs 24,183 crore as against Rs 10,332 crore reported in the year-ago period, Reliance Industries said a regulatory filing.
The revenue for full year 2017-18 grew by over two-fold to Rs 69,198 crore from Rs 33,765 crore.
Its PBDIT also increased by over two fold to Rs 2,529 crore in 2017-18 as against Rs 1,179 crore in the previous year.
The firm runs formats like Reliance Fresh, Reliance Super and Reliance Hyper and operates 3,837 stores across 750 cities in India.
