"The A-Team" is coming back to TV, with "Furious 7" writer Chris Morgan.
"Nikita" producer Albert Kim and "A-Team" co-creator Stephen J Cannell's daughter Tawnia McKiernan are on a special assignment for 20th Century Fox TV to revamp the '80s series, reported Deadline.
This new version of "The A-Team" will maintain the original premise of a Special Forces squad determined to clear their names after being framed for a horrific crime.
Unlike the original version, the new "A-Team" will be a mix of both male and female members - although it's not clear if any classic characters will be used.
The series is being envisioned for a mission-of-the-week format, in which the "A-Team" help out random people in need.
The iconic cast of the original "A-Team" included George Peppard, Dirk Benedict, Dwight Schultz and Mr T as a ragtag band of special forces soldiers.
"The A-Team" was previously rebooted as a 2010 feature film, with Liam Neeson, Bradley Cooper, Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson and Sharlto Copley taking on the iconic characters from the '80s show.
