Accusing Congress of betraying the downtrodden sections, he challenged its claims of working for the welfare of the poor and said, "Congress leaders just humiliate the poor and do nothing for them...
"They enjoy talking about the poor, but do not take interest in their uplift," he said at BJP rallies in Sumerpur (Pali), Jaisalmer and Jodhpur, the home turf of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot.
In Jaisalmer, Modi said, "Congress has spread the poison of casteism and comnunalism....Had Congress done politics of development, youth of the country would not have to face unemployment."
