French auto major Renault on Wednesday reported 26.8 per cent increase in sales at 11,198 units in India in February compared to the year-ago month.
The company's arm, Renault India, had sold 8,834 units in the same month last year.
Over the last few years, Renault has focused on establishing a strong base in India and has become one of the youngest and fastest growing automotive brands in the country, the company said in a statement.
Apart from its product offensive strategy to drive volumes in India, Renault is also substantially increasing its sales and network reach here and achieved a target of 270 dealership network nationwide at the end of 2016, it added.
