The company also launched a six-speed Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) variant of the vehicle with a diesel powertrain at an introductory price of Rs 11.66 lakh.
"We are confident that the new Duster will lead our expansion plans in India and strengthen our position in the compact SUV segment," Renault India Operations Country CEO and Managing Director Sumit Sawhney said in a statement.
Bookings for the vehicle is opening tomorrow across all dealerships in the country, it added.
The updated Duster comes with various features including a new rear view camera, automatic air conditioning, and media navigation unit.
In terms of safety, the the vehicle comes with a host of features including ABS, EBD with brake assist, dual airbags, and hill start assist.
Renault has sold over 1.4 lakh units of Duster in India since its launch in July 2012. The SUV is sold in over 100 countries and manufactured in five countries.
